Ankle Strength and Stability

Stronger, more stable ankles reduce sprains and support better movement.

Ankles take a beating in cutting, jumping, and landing. Weak or stiff ankles increase the risk of sprains and knee problems. Building ankle strength and control is simple and helps athletes stay on the field.

Small daily exercises can make a big difference, especially for athletes in court and field sports.

Ankle builders:

  • Single-leg balance for 30–45 seconds each side
  • Calf raises off a step
  • Lateral line hops with soft landings
  • Band work for eversion and inversion
