Staying Locked In During Long Practices
Long practices become far more effective when athletes train their focus, not just their bodies.
Long practices challenge focus more than fitness. Athletes who mentally drift fall into sloppy habits. Athletes who stay locked in improve faster with fewer wasted reps.
Focus is a trainable skill. It grows when athletes learn to reset, refocus, and bring full attention back to the drill.
Ways to stay locked in:
- Use mini-resets between reps
- Set 1 small goal for each drill
- Stay engaged through communication
- Notice drifting and refocus immediately
